KICKOFF: DAMNATION

Start the week at the DamNation film party held in partnership with the Rivers Institute. The documentary explores changing attitudes toward our country’s large dams. Food will be provided.

Test your environmental knowledge for over $500 in prizes during trivia with your UD community.

SUSTAINABILITY KEYNOTE SPEAKER: JOEL SALATIN
Featured in the New York Times best-seller The Omnivore’s Dilemma and the award-winning documentary Food, Inc., Joel Salatin, who has written nine of his own books, will share the unconventional farming and local ideologies of a third-generation alternative farmer. This event is co-hosted by the University of Dayton Honors Program.

WORKING TOWARD A GREENER OHIO: A FORUM ON THE RESPONSIBLE USAGE AND GENERATION OF ENERGY
During a panel discussion between UD faculty members and local advocates, you’ll learn about energy policy in Ohio. Panelists will also discuss the future of energy in Ohio — and at UD.

SUSTAINABILITY WEEK FESTIVAL
Join the neighborhood festivities featuring live music, outdoor games, free offerings from a local food truck and a chance to compete in a solar cooker Chopped-themed cooking competition.
